Camping tents are made of several different types of materials. Most are made of some type of nylon. Historically, even burlap was used!

Look for a group of trees for your Camping Tents if they are available. Heavy tree coverage is helpful. The leaves will cast shade from the sun on your Camping Tents, and minimize the effects of rain. A bed of rocks is sometimes provided at many locations. Some campsites have a rock bed as the site. Check for large rocks and remove them from your site.

A pad can be a lifesaver. If you have brought a pad, be sure to use it under your Camping Tents. If it rains, it will be much easier to dry and repack. Grasslands offer many opportunities to set up camp. If you are travelling on a grassy plain, you are in luck. The only thing that can be hard to find is shade.

If you are setting up your camping tents near a beach, sand might appear to be a good place. A sand site is tempting for the softness, but the cleanup is difficult. If it has rained recently, finding a dry spot can be a challenge. Avoid wet areas if you can. As long as there is good drainage, you can avoid pooling water in your camping tents.
