Destination Daytona

The sand is unique in that it is packed harder than the sands of many other beaches you will find. Destination Daytona has one of the few beaches that you can actually drive a vehicle onto. Whether your vehicle of choice is a Car, Truck, Motorcycle, or even an RV, it is OK to drive it right on to the beach in certain areas. The hard, packed sand made this a great place for motorsports and racing. Racing began many years ago, then a guy named William France created NASCAR and the Daytona International Speedway which soon replaced sand racing. See the city that is headquarters for NASCAR and the Grand American Road Racing Association.
